The Mass schedule for Christmas at St. Jude’s is as follows: Christmas Eve at 4 p. m., 7 p. m., and midnight; Christmas Day at 8 a. m., 10 a. m., and noon. The Mass schedule for Christmas at St. Mary’s is as follows: Christmas Eve at 4 p. m. and midnight; Christmas Day at 9 a. m.
Oplatki (Christmas Wafers) are available by the Baptismal font. The suggested donation is $3.
St. Jude Parish Center hours: 9 a. m. until noon on Wednesday, December 23; closed from Wednesday, December 23 at noon through Sunday, December 27. The office will re-open on Monday, December 28 from 9 a. m. until 3 p. m.
There will not be any gift card sales in the church the weekend of December 26/27. Building Bucks sales will resume the weekend of January 2/3. There will not be any Express Orders for page two available for the week of December 28 due to the holidays. Orders may be placed only for page one this week. Complete Express Sales Ordering will resume the week of January 4, 2016.
Religious education will not be held on December 28/28 or January 3/4. Classes will resume on January 10/11.
Students in grades eight through twelve are invited to late night December madness on Monday, December 28 in the school cafeteria. The time is 8 p. m. until 10:30 p. m. Activities include a FIFA tournament, holiday movies, popcorn, and board games (life size). Drinks and pizza will be provided. Bring a snack to share such as Christmas cookies, chips, pretzels, etc.
A Christmas gathering for young adults will be held Tuesday, December 29 at King’s Restaurant. Doors will open at 6:30 p. m. The true spirit of Christmas will be the topic of conversation led by Fr. Jeff Tudgay starting at 7 p. m. Young adults ages 18 to 29 years old are welcome to attend. Please RSVP by texting Pam Urbanski at 570-262-3015 by Monday, December 28.
All St. Jude Church contributions for 2015 must be received or postmarked by December 31, 2015 in order for your tax deductible contributions to show on your 2015 statement. Your continued use of our envelope system or online giving is the only method we have to correctly itemize your gifts.
The next Caring Kids Club meeting will be January 6. They will be making scarves for the area homeless men and women.
