St. Paul’s is a family of believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, committed to the fulfillment of the Word of God.
Services are scheduled at 8:30 a. m. and 11:00 a. m. Sunday Church School is held at 9:30 a. m. An Adult Gathering is also at 9:30 a. m.
The Communion schedule is December 20th; 24th, January 3rd; 17th and 31st.
There is no Sunday School December 27th.
A Healing Service will be held Wednesday, December 2nd at 11 a. m., and Wednesday, January 6th at 11 a. m. A Potluck Luncheon follows at noon.
Bible Study continues every Thursday evening at 6 p. m. The group will continue to study Max Lucado’s, The Story. The group will begin New Testament study shortly. Every Monday afternoon at 2 p. m., we gather at Wright Manor in hopes of completing the New Testament. We have completed the Book of Titus and continue to move forward. Feel free to come out and join us!
Please remember that the first Sunday of each month has been declared “Food Bank Day” and we ask that members remember those less fortunate by bringing nonperishable food items in order to keep up with the demand for food.
The Yarn Spinners have nine robes for St. Luke’s. They will continue to work on the prayer shawls and baptismal blankets for Pastor. There is no meeting in December. The next meeting will be January 6, 2016 and we will discuss the next project.

Don’t forget to look for your Advent devotions on Facebook or have your devotions sent directly to your email address. For those who prefer, hard copies will be made available. As we look for ways to prepare our hearts for the coming of the Christ child, you are invite to join us every Wednesday morning in December at 11 a. m. A short service will help us focus on the true meaning of Christmas.
Catholic Social Service’s Angel Tree tags are located in the narthex. This is for children with limited resources. Gifts should be no more than $25. On Sunday, December 13, you and your family are invited to join us for “A Christmas Celebration.” As in the past we will gather to enjoy a family-style Christmas dinner at 5:30 p. m. with all the trimmings and then enjoy the sights and sounds of the Christmas. In recent weeks, we have learned of several families within our own church family facing difficult times. We would like to provide a helping hand in some way. We will once again come together to share Christmas dinner, followed by a program of word and song. The cost of the dinner is Family-$20, and Individual-$8. Proceeds from the dinner will help members of our congregation in need. A sign-up sheet will be on the table outside of Pastor’s office and on the bulletin board.
If you would like to donate turkeys for the Dinner, please call Jay Kittrick at 570-868-5549. If you would like to donate turkeys to help with the Christmas dinner, the food stores are selling them for .69 cents a pound with a minimum purchase. They can be dropped off at church and put in the freezer.
Poinsettias are available to purchase for Christmas –forms are included in the newsletter and forms are also located in the narthex–6” pots for $7.25 each –red, white or pink. Deadline to order is Sunday, December 13th. Please return order form and money to Lisa Sheridan (checks made payable to St. Paul’s).
