University of Scranton volleyball student-athletes Kristin Kirwan, Park Ridge, N. J./Immaculate Heart Academy, and Stephanie Klug, Mountain Top,/Crestwood, were named to the All-Landmark Conference First Team.
Kirwan, a freshman, nabbed a spot on the Landmark First Team after a banner opening season to her career at Scranton on the attack.
In all, she finished with 322 kills for a 2.98 kill per set average for the year. Kirwan also ended the season with 105 digs and 32 total blocks, as well.
Klug, a senior, capped off a great career at the University of Scranton with her selection to the All-Landmark Team, a first for the Mountain Top native.
In 2015, Klug ended with 302 kills (a 2.36 per set average), 71 blocks and 61 digs. For her career, Klug ranks highly on Scranton’s All-Time list in several categories, coming in 18th in total kills with 725 and 15th in career attacking percentage at a .235 clip.
During her career, Klug has been named University of Scranton Athlete of the Week (Sept. 1-7, 2014, Oct. 5-11, 2015), Sea Gull Classic All-Tournament Team (Sept. 5-6, 2014), and Landmark Conference Academic Honor Roll (2013, 2014). She is the daughter of Gina Klug.
The Royals ended the 2015 season with a 25-12 overall mark, qualifying for the semifinals of the Landmark Conference Tournament for the third straight season.
