The Crestwood Baseball team is selling t-shirts in support of the fight against cancer. The shirts are $10 and the proceeds will benefit Candy’s Place, a Cancer Wellness Center in Forty Fort. The shirts will be available from any Crestwood Baseball Player and at the Mountaintop Eagle.
Mountain Top Garden Club will meet Tuesday, November 17 at 6:30 p. m. at the Wright Township Fire Company, 477 S. Main Rd., Mountaintop. George Burger of George Burger & Sons, will be discussing how to winterize your garden spaces. Creating sea glass craft and planning, socializing, and snacking are also on the agenda. Free. Mountaintop Welcome Club is hosting the November meeting Thursday, November 19th 12:00 noon located at the PresbyterianChurch9ChestnutSt. Cateredlunchwillbe provided for $8 and babysitting will be available for $4 the first child and $3 for additional children. The club will be collecting non perishable food items for the Mountain Top Food Pantry. Please bring and item or two to help fill the pantry for the coming holidays. Crestwood High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA) Meeting of the 2015/2016 school year will take place on Thursday, November 19th at 6:30pm in the High School Cafeteria. Mt Top Feed A Friend donations help us provide Thanksgiving dinners for those in need. Food collection boxes are located at: Carone’s, Kirby Library, and St. Paul’s Church. Crestwood High School, Crestwood Middle School, Rice Elementary, Mountain Top Family Church and St. Jude Church are also doing food drives. Money donation canisters are located at Januzzi’s, Crestwood Pharmacy, Triangle Pharmacy, The Ice House, The Crossroads, and Wheels bar, Wychocks, The American Legion Post 781, Mountain Top Animal Hospital, Blue Ridge Travel Plaza, Carone’s Market, Nelly Travel Plaza, and J&L Market. Boy Scouts will be collecting food Sat. Nov. 21st; volunteers are needed from 9am to 12 pm to sort food as St. Paul’s Church, and Tues. Nov. 24th from 9 am to 1 pm to assist with distribution. The Wright Township Recreation Board will be holding the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 7:00pm in front of the municipal building. In addition to lighting the outdoor trees there will be carol singing and a special visit from Santa Clause. Bring your flashlights and come to enjoy the program. Refreshments will be served.
