Rachel Marie Fritz and Shane Anthony Kishel were united in marriage on June 27, 2015 at St Mary’s Church, Dorrance.
The bride is the daughter of Jude and Mary Fritz of Mountain Top. She is the granddaughter of James and Rosemary Fritz and the late VF and Marie Kreckel, all of St. Mary’s PA.
The groom is the son of John and Lisa Kishel of Mountain Top. He is the grandson of Stephen and the late Dolores Kishel of Olyphant, as well as Madeline and the late Elmer Cherney of Dunmore.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose her sister, Laura Fritz, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kylie Kishel, sister of the groom, Chelsea Dunn and Abby Crawford, friends of the bride.
The groom chose his brother, Colton Kishel, as his best man. Groomsmen were Kota Kishel, brother of the groom, and Dominick DiSabatino and Benjamin Eustice, friends of the groom.
Scriptural readings were given by Sandra Kreckel, aunt of the bride, and Kevin Moulton, friend of the couple. Intentions were read by Peter Kreckel, uncle of the bride. Gifts were presented by Curt and Deborah Tereschak, godparents of the groom.
The bride was honored at a bridal shower hosted by her mother and the bridesmaids at the Wyoming Valley Country Club in Wilkes-Barre. Rehearsal dinner was hosted by parents if the groom at King’s Italian Restaurant in Mountain Top. An evening cocktail hour and reception was at held at Sand Springs Country Club, Drums.
The bride is a 2007 graduate of Crestwood High School. She graduated from Millersville University with a bachelor’s degree in biology. She earned her Doctor of Optometry Degree from Salus University in May 2014. She is currently a full time optometrist for the Eye Center of Central PA, practicing in their Williamsport and Paxinos offices.
The groom is a 2007 graduate of Crestwood High School. He earned a bachleor’s degree in elementary education from Millersville University in 2011. He is currently a 3rd grade teacher at Kelly Elementary for the Lewisburg Area School District. He is also enrolled at Penn State for his master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii where they visited the islands of Hawaii, Oahu, and Kauai. They now reside in Lewisburg.
