The Commonwealth Medical College’s students will host the sixth annual Turkey Trot 5K/10K Run in downtown Scranton on Sunday, November 15 at 8 a. m. The event will also feature a Tiny Trot for children 13 and under. Proceeds will benefit Friends of the Poor’s annual Thanksgiving community dinner.
Check-in begins at 8:00a.m. in the main lobby of TCMC’s Medical Sciences Building located at 525 Pine Street, Scranton. Races begin at 9:00 a. m., and routes begin and end at TCMC’s Medical Sciences Building.
Pre-registration through November 1st for runners ages 14 and up is $25 for the 5K, $35 for the 10K, and $20 for the non-competitive family 5K “Fun Run.” After November 1st through race day, registration is $35 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, and $25 for the non-competitive family 5K “Fun Run.” T-shirts will be provided to registered Turkey Trot participants. Registration for the Tiny Trot is $5, or two canned goods to be donated to the food drive.
Turkey Trot participants are also invited to bring food and clothing donations the morning of race day.
