The Crestwood volleyball team suffered its first loss of the season on October 19 against visiting Delaware Valley. Scores were 25-16, 25-23 and 25-22.
Ally Olszyk had six kills and 15 assists for the Lady Comets while Karissa Levoski and Sereina Breinhoffer recorded a combined nine kills.
Against North Pocono on October 20, Crestwood captured a hard-fought 3-2 victory. Scores were 25-20, 18-25, 25-21, 26-28 and 15-8.
Olszyk paced the Lady Comets with 24 service points, 23 assists, 11 digs, eight kills and six aces. Kelsey Price chipped in with nine kills and two blocks, while Breinhoffer had eight kills and two blocks in the win.
Crestwood defeated Lake-Lehman, 4-2, in a boys soccer game on October 20.
After a scoreless first half, Jason Klusewitz (Alex DeSpirito), Dylan Perrone (Klusewitz) and Kyle Gegaris (DeSpirito), scored for Crestwood.
Crestwood shutout Berwick, 5-0, in a game played October 22.
First half goals were scored by Perrone and Zach Metzger.
In the second half, RJ Kresge, Hubert Herrera and Gegaris each tallied goals for the Comets to dominate the Bulldogs.
Keepers Lance Lysiak and Aiden Ziebagalski combined for four saves.
The Crestwood girls soccer team defeated visiting Berwick, 3-1, in a game played on October 20.
Scoring for the Lady Comets were Abby Clark (Jill Lehman), Melissa Herrera (Sam Brumagin), and Bella Termini (Herrera).
Crestwood outshot Berwick 10 to 3.

girls doubles tennis tournament held at Kirby Park, Crestwood’s Emily Shiplett and Morgan Novasel defeated Kira Meager and Deanna Richards of Coughlin, 6-0, 6-2 in the first round of the tournament but lost to the No. 2 seeded team of Stephanie Mazurek and Lily Nowak of Hazleton Area, 6-1, 6-2 in the second round.
Also, Crestwood’s Gabby Slucki and Raegan Distasio fell to the team of Kristi Pearage and Dianna Rodriquez of Coughlin, 6-0, 6-2.
