Women’s Club Of Mountaintop

GFWC Women’s Club of Mountaintop will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday, October 20th, at 6:30p.m. at the Kirby Library. Speaker will be Laura Keller, who is the director of the children’s section of the library. The meeting is open to the public and all are welcome!!! Garden Club Meeting

The Mountain Top Garden Club will hold its October meeting at 6:30 pm on Tuesday, October 20 at the Rice Township building. Chase life’s crows away by building your own scarecrow! Our October meeting will be a craft meeting where members and visitors will make scarecrow creations. If you would like to attend this special meeting you will need to bring old clothing, shoes, hats and any other decorative items for the body. You will also need lots of plastic shopping bags to stuff your scarecrow. The Garden Club will provide muslin fabric and other materials for your scarecrow’s face. The Mountain Top Garden Club is a social club that meets monthly to discuss and share knowledge of gardening.

Crestwood PTSA Meeting

The second PTSA Meeting of the 2015/2016 school year will take place on Thursday, October 22nd at 6:30pm in the High School Cafeteria. A Senior Lock-In Meeting will be held at 7 pm following the regular PTSA Meeting for all those interested in helping out with the 2016 Senior Lock-In. Hope to see you there! Paint With Rotary

The Rotary Club of Mountaintop will be holding a PAINT WITH ROTARY event/fundraiser on October 23rd, 6:00p.m. BYOB It will take place at Mountaintop Gift Gallery located on the corner of S Main Rd and Nuangola Road. All proceeds will go to the Mt Top Food Bank. Bring a non perishable food item with you to help support families in need during the upcoming Holiday Season. See our Rotary Facebook Page for details. Social Club Meeting, Trip

The Mountain Top Social Club will have its next meeting on October 27th at 3:15pm in school cafeteria we will be having a Halloween Party. All members are asked to dress in costumes and party games will be enjoyed by all, along with coffee and dessert. The next trip is scheduled on October 22nd to Mt. Airy Casino, the bus will leave Mt. Top at 8:15am at the parking lot at St. Jude. As a reminder, there will be only 2 trips left for this year. Wright Twp. Halloween Parade

The Wright Township Recreation Board will be sponsoring the annual Halloween Parade for toddlers to 4th grade on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00pm in the Wright Township Recreation Park. All children accompanied by a parent or guardian are invited to participate in this fun event. Refreshments will be served after the parade courtesy of the Kiwanis Club of Mountaintop.

Emmanuel UCC Yard Sale

Our choir is holding a fundraiser to help you straighten out, clean out, and reorganize your home. For the donation of $10 for a table, you can bring your old “treasures” to the yard sale on October 24 to sell. Tables will be available in the Fellowship Hall and under the Pavilion. Please understand this is a yard sale for your benefit and any items not sold must be taken back with you. Sales begin at 8:00 am and we’ll finish up at 2:00 pm. Craft / Talent Auction

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Women will hold it’s annual Craft/ Talent Auction on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 6:00pm. Doors open at 5:30pm. We are located at 316 S. Mountain Top. Any questions call 570-474-6558 or 570-678-7168.

Bingo At St. Jude School

The eighth grade students at St. Jude School will conduct a Bingo on Sunday, Nov. 1 in the school cafeteria. Doors open at 1 p. m. Bingo begins at 2 p. m. Specials may be purchased at the door. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. Prizes include an American Girl doll, Easton XL1 bat, Shopkins, XBOX ONE games, Legos, designer bags, designer sunglasses, and much more. Tickets may be purchased from Tammy at 570-760-7520 or at the school office.
