The Congregation of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Mountain Top encourages you to join them for worship this week. The following is a brief summary of upcoming worship and service opportunities:
Fall Schedule-Worship: 8:30 a. m. and 11:00 a. m.
October 18th and 26th (Reformation Sunday)
Healing Service is scheduled Wednesday, October 7th at 11 a. m. and Wednesday, October 28th at 11 a. m. Potluck Luncheon following at noon.
Join us for our Community Wide Hayride on October 25th at Whistle Pig Pumpkin Patch at 3369 SR 29S, Noxen, PA 18636. Cost is $6.00 plus $2.00 for the corn maze. This includes a hayride, campfire, cider and a small pumpkin for each person. You can also navigate the 5 acre corn maze (takes approx. 40 minutes to complete). Adult supervision is required for children under 9 years old.
Bible Study continues… Every Thursday evening at 6 we continue to study Max Lucado’s, The Story. Our study has taken us through the Old Testament and we will begin our New Testament study shortly. Every Monday afternoon at 2 p. m., we gather at Wright Manor in hopes of completing the New Testament.
St. Paul’s Hoagie Gang -All orders must be in by Sunday, October 11th Pick up date will be October 15th. Hoagies are $4 each. The sign up sheet is on the narthex bulletin board.
Now is the time to sign up for one of the AARP Driver Safety Courses that will be held at St. Paul’s. A Refresher Course will be given Wednesday, October 7th from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. This Course is open only to individuals who have completed either the 2-part Basic Course or Refresher Course, within the past three years. The 2-part Basic Course will be held on Tuesdays, October 6 and 13th, from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. It is for individuals who have not completed a 2-part Basic or Refresher Course, within the last 3 years.
Those who complete either of
these Courses, and are 60 years of age, or older, may be eligible for a 5% car insurance discount, for the next three years. Cost is $20 per person, or $15 for AARP members.
Students should bring pens, a driver’s license, a check payable to AARP to the first class, and their AARP membership card, if they belong to the organization.

Our next Board Game Day is Wednesday, October 21st at 1pm. Please bring your favorite game or snack to share.
The Annual Thrivent Dinner will be held on Sunday, October 25 at the Sand Springs Country Club. Please contact Pr. Kaufman if you plan to attend.
The next WELCA meeting will take place on Wednesday, October 14th at 1pm. The hostess will be Jeanne Wells. We will be wrapping the gifts for Hazleton Home. Please bring scotch tape and scissors.
Office Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 a. m. to 12:30 p. m.
Sunday Morning gatherings are for adults each week right after 8:30 a. m. Service at 9:30 a. m. so members can get together and discuss any topic that they have interest in, and have some fellowship and discuss them
The following weekly meetings are scheduled: Weight Watchers every Wednesday at 6:15 p. m., AA Meetings every Wednesday and Friday at 7 p. m. and Sundays at 7 p. m., NA Meetings every Thursday at 6 p. m., and the Stress and Anxiety Management support group meets every 2nd and last Tuesdays of the month at 6:30.
