Mary Storm Richmond, Mountain Top, died Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015. Mary was the beloved and only child of the late Charles P. and Louise L. Storm being born on Nov. 7, 1922. Though she had no siblings, Mary adored her cousins.

Mary graduated from Drexel University and was a substitute teacher in Hicksville, N. Y., for many years. She married William K. Richmond, the love of her life in 1944. Mary touched everyone she met with love and compassion and could make soup out of anything and everything.

Mary was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Bill; and oldest son, Perry. She is survived by daughters, Kathy

Platt and husband, Richard; Ann Lear and husband, Bob; and son, Tom and wife, Donna; and Perry’s widow, Denise. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy grandchildren, John Richmond, Michele Urbanovitch, Susanne White, Timothy Platt, Casey Platt, Brian Lear, Chris Lear, Thomas Richmond, Jr., and Hunter Richmond; and her loving great-grandchildren.

Mary received wonderful, loving care at Smith Nursing Home, Mountain Top, throughout the last 3½ years of her life for which the family is forever grateful.

Private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family and are under direction by McCune Funeral Home, Mountain Top.
