Crestwood Soccer Results

The Crestwood boys soccer team defeated visiting Hazleton 5-0 in a game played September 21 (HT 3-0)

Kyle Gegaris and Connor Keenan led the Comets in scoring with two goals each while Dylan Perrone added one in the win.

Keeper Lance Lysiak had a clean sheet and shut out with nine saves.

Crestwood had 16 shots on goal.

Against Wyoming Valley West on September 23, Crestwood lost 3-0. Lysiak recorded 17 saves.

The boys routed host Hanover Area, 8-0.

RJ Kresge recorded a hat trick. Jason Klusewitz scored two goals while Andrew Ryman, Matt Lacoste and Kyle Gegaris each score one in the win.

Lance Lysiak had five saves for the Comets.


The Crestwood girls defeated Dallas by the score of 2-1 in overtime. Chyanne Cook scored in the first half for the Lady Comets at 12:42. Following a scoreless second half,

Bella Termini scored at 6:00 in OT to life the Lady Comets to victory.

Keeper McKenna Mera had 12 saves for the winners.

The Lady Comets were led by Lexi Gaetano with two goals three assists. Teammate Bree Fetterman finished with two goals and two assists.

Also scoring for the winners were Sam Brumagin, Melissa Herrara, Nina Atie and Bella Termini.

Mera turned away six for Crestwood to preserve the shutout.

The girls cruised past Hanover Area, 8-1, on September 25.

Jenny Katulka led the Lady Comets with two goals. Bella Termini and Melissa Hererra each scored a goal and an assist. Also scoring were Sam Brumagin and Nina Atie.

McKenna saved six for Crestwood.
