Rev. JP Bohanan, Pastor of Christ United Methodist Church, 175 S. Main Rd., invites you to join us for Worship on the Lord’s Day: 8:30 and 10:45 am. Children are always welcome in worship; those in kindergarten and younger may visit the nursery during both services.
Holy Communion is served the first Sunday of every month, and will be served on October 4, as we celebrate “World Communion Sunday”. All are Welcome.
Our Annual “Pound the Pastor” Fall Food Drive is currently underway. We hope to collect at least 3x Pastor JP’s weight in food and monetary donations. Please bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Mountain Top Food Bank, as we continue to help families in our community that are in need.
Christ Church is gearing up for an exciting fall season, and would like to announce our New Worship
Service: “Open Table” Sunday,
at 7:00 pm. The hope for this new worship service is to reach persons we are not currently reaching. It will include contemporary worship music, anchor hymns, and new liturgical music. We will celebrate Holy Communion weekly, and once a month, there will be a “Dinner Church” with a covered dish meal at 6:00 pm. Please plan to join us!
Once again, during the school year we will hold Sunday School classes for children of all ages and adults. Classes take place at 9:30 am, between worship services, with nursery provided for children of our adult class participants. Youth Group takes place from 5-7 pm.
Other groups that meet regularly include quilters, candy-making, breakfast group, and men’s group. Adult Choir practice Thursday at 7 pm. Our children’s, youth, and bell choirs will be starting practice on 9/24. If you are interested in joining any of our choirs, please call for more details. New members are always welcome.
