Crestwood Field Hockey Continues Winning Ways

Crestwood defeated Warwick, 6-0, in a non-conference field hockey game played September 5.

In the first half, Hunter Pitman, assisted by Ashleigh Thomas, scored at 24:49 and little over a minute later, Pitman scored unassisted.

Jordan Olenginski added the Lady Comets third goal when she scored unassisted at 5:36. Ashleigh Thomas scored Crestwood’s fourth goal in the opening half unassisted.

Early in the second half, Thomas scored her second goal unassisted. Olenginski (unassisted) scored Crestwood’s final goal of the game.

Crestwood had 27 shots compared to four for Warwick.

Marlee Dillon had two saves for the winners.

On September 9, Crestwood dominated Nanticoke in route to 10-0 win.

Hannah Ackers scored a hat trick to lead the Lady Comets in scoring.

Also adding to the point tally were Lizzy dessoye, Rachel Speck, Ashley Thomas, Arden Morgans, Gwyn Shermanski, Lauren Rowski and Mackenzie Kile each scored a goal.

Crestwood recorded 31 shots on goal and had 18 corners, compared to 0 in each category for Nanticoke.

Marlee Dixon and Kaitlyn Roberts shared the goal keeping duties.

The Lady Comets continued to roll with a 3-2 overtime win over Selinsgrove and a 4-0 win over Mifflin County on September 12.

Against Mifflin County, Hannah Ackers score a goal and had two assists. Lizzy Dessoye had a goal and as assist while Hunter Pitman and Jordan Olenginski each scored in the win.

In a hard-fought contest against Selinsgrove, Ackers scored in regulation and had the winning goal in overtime. Ackers also tallied a goal off an assist from Cara Jarmiolowski.
