Crestwood High School Parent-Teacher-Student Association (PTSA) Meeting will hold its first meeting of the 2015/2016 school year will take place on Thursday, September 24th at 6:30pm in the High School Cafeteria. A Senior Lock-In Meeting will be held at 7 pm following the regular PTSA Meeting for all those interested in helping out with the 2016 Senior Lock-In. Hope to see you there! The Mountain Top Welcome Club will be meeting on Thursday, Sept. 24th at 8:45 am Leaf and Ladle to begin the Highway Cleanup Program-to help keep Mountain Top Beautiful!! Everyone is welcome!!
Mountain Top Kite Festival is scheduled September 26. The event is sponsoredbySt. MartinintheFields, theMountainTopRotary Club and Rice Township. This will be a fantastic event for “children” of all ages and the third one to be held in our area. Each child can sign up to build a free kite from a kit and then be helped to learn how to fly it. The event runs from 10 am until 4 pm and is held in the park across from the Church.
Chinese/Tricky TrayAuction will be held on September 26 at St. Martin in the Fields church during the Kite Festival from 10 a. m. until 4 p. m. The event will feature gift baskets, white elephant items, gift certificates and other treasures.
An American Cross Blood Drive will be held Saturday, September 26, 2015 at Christ United Methodist Church, 175 South Main Road, Mountain Top, from 9 am –2 pm. MMI Baseball will hold a Home Run Derby Fundraiser on Saturday September 26 at 1pm (Raindate Saturday October 3). Registration starts at 1215pm. $10 to enter, and additional rounds can be bought for $5. There will be trophies awarded to bracket winners (elementary, middle school, high school, adult). Anyone age 5 and up can participate. Please see www.mmibaseball.comfor the registration form. The event will be held on the softball field and winners will be chosen by point system so players could advance and not hit a ball over fence.
Marine Corps League Det. 1039 is sponsoring an All You Can Eat Breakfast on October 4 from 8 a. m. to 12 p. m. at Saint Patrick Parish Center, 411Allegheny St., White Haven. The cost is $8. The public is invited.
