The Living Rosary will be held on Sunday, October 4 at 1:00 in the church. All parishioners are invited to attend. A few prayer leaders are still needed. This prayer-filled experience is a way to come together as a parish family and begin the month of Mary focusing upon the mysteries of the rosary. Families are encouraged to participate as a group. Students in grades eight through twelve are invited to be a part of a new program in Youth Ministry called Feed My Sheep. The first meeting will be Thursday, September 24 at 7 p. m. in the Youth Room of the Parish Center. Please use the doors to the rear of the building. Teens are invited to take part in this ministry and give a few hours a month making a difference in the lives of others. The Social Action Committee is sponsoring Saucy Sunday (and Saturday too) on Saturday and Sunday, October 3 and 4. Spaghetti sauce is a much needed commodity used in preparing meals at the St. Vincent DePaul Kitchen in Wilkes-Barre. Parishioners are asked to donate spaghetti sauce, preferably in cans or plastic containers. and place donations in the marked containers in the church.
St. Jude School Masses held on Wednesdays will now be celebrated at 1:50 p. m. for the rest of the school year.
Little Lambs is a program for the youngest parishioners six months to preschool age. The program will feature an hour of songs, stories, a craft, and playtime. The group will meet Mondays and/or Thursdays at 9:30 a. m. in the Parish Center. Children and their caregivers may come both days or choose just one depending on their schedule. Seventh through twelfth graders are invited to become a part of the Young Family Ministry. The parish is looking to have middle and high school students work with and lead activities throughout the year aimed at the children of the parish. Examples -bingo, family movie night, Children’s Liturgy of the Word (CLOW), etc. Students who are interested should contact Mrs. Grandzol at email@example.com.
A new kids club is coming. This will be an experience for students in second through sixth grade. They will meet on the first Wednesday of each month in the school cafeteria from 4 p. m. until 5 p. m. for food, fun, and service activities. Parents are welcome to attend with their children.
