St. Mary’s Church Planning Roast Beef Dinner Meeting Oct. 3

St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Reverend Joseph Evanko, and Reverend Jeffrey Tudgay, Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.

Religious Education classes for K -Grade 6 are cancelled for next Sunday, September 27. Students are asked to watch Pope Francis’ historic visit to Philadelphia (on television) with their families and then write a short essay about what they saw. Please bring your essay with you to class on Sunday, October 4.

Seventh and Eighth grade classes are held in St. Jude School on Sundays: 10:10 to 11:20 a. m. or Mondays: 6:30 to 7:40 p. m. Please attend on your scheduled day. Pam can be reached at 474-6315 ext 228.

Please remember to enter our lower parking lot on the grove side and exit on the Church side. Please do not park in front of the Church. That is a drop off/pick up location only. Thank you in advance for your continued cooperation.

There are a few boxes of 2015 Offertory Envelopes in the social hall. Please pick them up, or if possible deliver them to family and friends. All remaining boxes will be recycled October 3.

The new offertory envelopes will be arriving in a few months. Please call the parish office if you would like to receive them. Also, please call with any updates in contact or family information including a name change.

There will be a Roast Beef Dinner Meeting on Thursday, October 1 at 7 p. m. in the dining room. All are welcome to come and help plan this event. The dinner is planned for Saturday, November 7 from 3-7 p. m. in the social hall.

Orders will be taken for Potato Pierogi Oct 17-31. Forms will be in the bulletin. Orders will be pre-order, pre-pay only.

Pierogi will be made November 17-230. If you are able to help make piergi please call the parish office.

Our fall Vera Bradley/Polish Pottery BINGO will be held on Sunday, Oct 4 at 1 p. m. in the social hall. $20-20 games! Specials and door prizes. Doors open at noon. The kitchen will be open!

The Youth Group is selling Boscov’s “Friends Helping Friends” shopping passes. The $5 shopping pass is good for one day only, Tuesday, October 20, 2015. The pass entitles you to 25% off most items in the store, refreshments, and a chance to win a $100 or $500 shopping spree. To purchase a pass please call the office or ask any member.

Triangle Pharmacy is accepting registrations for Diabetes Management classes. Four -2 1/2 hour classes start October 6, and be offered every Tuesday evening at 5:30p.m. A physician’s order is required and classes are free.

Medical Equipment Collection-We have a good supply of canes, walkers, tub chairs, etc available for those in need. Please call Michele at 868-0168 if you would like to borrow any items.
