Bella Termini scored the Lady Comets’ goal off a penalty kick in the second half.
Mera was outstanding in goal with 14 saves to preserve the win.
In boys soccer, Crestwood and Coughlin ended up in a 1-1 tie on September 15.
Both goals scored in the first half. R. J. Kresge scored the Comets’ only goal.
The teams battled in what was a scoreless second half.
Crestwood keeper Lance Lysiak had six saves.

The teams were knotted at 1-1 in the first half. Crestwood’s Jason Klusewitz broked the tie, scoring with 8:39 remaining in the game to give the Comets the win.
Dylan Perrone scored Crestwood’s first goal in the opening half.
Lysiak had seven saves for the winners.
The Crestwood girls tennis team lost to Holy Redeemer, 4-1, in a match played September 14.
The doubles team of Emily Shiplett and Morgan Novosel defeated Abby Muth and Alex Kester in a tough three setter, 5-7, 7-4, 6-2 for the Lady Comets’ only win.
Crestwood rebounded from the loss to defeat Hanover Area, 4-1, in a match on September 16.
Emily Shiplett and Morgan Novosel won their singles matches in straight sets.
The lady Comets won both double matches by default.

a 167-171 win over Tunkhannock at the Blue Ridge Trail Course on September 15.
John Hawley shot a 42 for the winners. Tyler Papura and John McGroarty finished with a 43. Mike Golden carded a 47 and Ryan Magin finished with a 57.
On September 16, Crestwood lost to Coughlin, 164-176 at Blue Ridge Trail.
For the Comets, Shane Angle finished with a 42 while Hawley and Mike Golden each shot a 44. Papura and Pat Brennan each carded a 46 in the loss.
