Walking For Others At Emmanuel UCC

The Wapwallopen Ministerium CROP Walk is scheduled for Sunday, October 4.

We will meet at Emmanuel UCC at 12:30 pm for registration. At 1:00 pm, we will begin our walk to St. James Lutheran Church where we will enjoy refreshments to bolster our energy for the walk back to Emmanuel. At the end, there will also be food and drink for those who endured the 8-mile trek.

It’s a long haul, but for a good cause. The money raised will help people here in the United States through food banks and other community efforts, and around the world by making their neighborhoods more sustainable through building infrastructure like wells and schools and educating farmers to grow crops more productively. We walk because they walk. They walk miles just to get clean drinking water. Sometimes they walk miles to find food for just one day. Our walks will help shorten and possibly eliminate how far they need to go just to gather the necessities of life.

If you want to participate, please see Marc Davis or Denise Dean for a sponsor packet. If you’re not a walker, we urge you to sponsor someone. Make a difference in the lives of people here at home and around the world.

Sunday worship service is at 10:30 am. Come, join us for worship this Sunday. We welcome everyone into our Father’s house.
