MISERICORDIA UNIVERSITY OPENING DAY PICNIC-Misericordia University hosted more than 1,500 students, staff and faculty at the annual Opening Day Picnic on the lawn of the Banks Student Center on Monday. The event was held to celebrate the first day of classes at the institution of higher learning where approximately 3,100 undergraduate and graduate students are enrolled for the fall semester in full-and part-time academic programs. The outdoor picnic allowed the students to mix and mingle with faculty and staff at the campus where caring and personal attention are a hallmark of a Sisters of Mercy education.
