Unused/Expired Medication Take Back Program

Turn in your unused or expired medication for safe disposal on Saturday, September 12th from 10am to 2pm at the Wright Township Police Department 321 South Mountain Blvd, Mountain Top. Accepting any over the counter, controlled substance or prescription drugs can be submitted. Tablets, capsules, ointments, creams and liquids will be accepted in its packaging. No need to take medicines out of the original package or container. This event is absolutely anonymous and no questions are to be asked by law enforcement personnel to anyone submitting medications. Sharpies & Syringes WILL NOT be accepted due to safety reasons. The event is sponsored by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

St. Paul’s Flea Market

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, located at 316 S. Mt. Blvd. in Mountain Top, will have an indoor Flea Market on Saturday, September 12th from 8 a. m. to 2 p. m.. Inside spaces are sold out, however any vendor who would like to set up outside, weather permitting should contact Marty Kellow at 570-474-5387.

Taste Of The Mountain

The Rotary Club of Mountain Top will be holding it’s 6th annual TASTE OF THE MOUNTAIN on Sunday Sept 13th from 2pm to 5pm at Edgewood in the Pines, Drums Pa. Come enjoy samples of the areas finest food, beer and wine. Qualify and enter for a Grand Prize Drawing of a Weekend Stay at Mohegan Sun/Pocono Downs along with a Gift Certificate for Ruth’s Chris Restaurant. Admission is $30. in advance or $40. at the door. Mountain Top Volleyball League Registration

The Mountain Top Area Volleyball League announces registration and pre-season practice will be held at the Rice Elementary School gymnasium on Monday Sept. 14th and 21st from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. The season will start on Sept. 28, 2015 and conclude on June 13, 2016. Games will be held on Monday nights from 6:30pm to 9:30pm at Rice, approximately 30 nights of play. League competition is recreational and open to men and women ages 20 and up. The league is limited to 64 members. Dues for the 2015-2016 season are $25.00 per player, collected at registration. Mt. Top Diabetes Support Group
