Family members and friends of the fourth grade students at St. Jude School were invited to attend a Storybook Social where the students were able to showcase original fiction and nonfiction stories. All text and illustrations were written and designed by the students in these professionally published books. The project included the elements of story writing, creative and descriptive language, character, setting, plot, and computer skills.. The stories were about detectives, ocean creatures, a unicorn, a baseball miracle, a ghost adventure, a ninja neighbor, a boy who saves his family, monkeys who find an evil toucan, and even more. Following the readings, the books were on display and refreshments were served. Shown, front from left: Lori Urosevich, Michelle Butash, Jackie Nicotera, and Mary Hoda.
