St. Martin’s is participating in the Nuangola Library fundraiser with a bake sale at the Nuangola Library on the Labor Day weekend. Our famous Welsh Cookies, other tasty baked items, dish towels and knives, will be for sale. It will be our last cookie sale this year so stock up.

This is followed by a Pastie Sale. Orders for the Pasties can be placed up to September 8th for pickup on September 11th. Orders can be placed by calling Joan at 570-474-5587.

The third event is the Kite Festival and Chinese Auction, included for the first time. The auction will be held instead of the fall bazaar.

St. Martin in the Fields is sponsoring the THIRD Mountain Top Kite Festival on September 26th. This will be a fantastic event for “children” of all ages and the third one to be held in our area. Each child can sign up to build a free kite from a kit and then helped to learn how to fly it. There will be a kite flying exhibition by the Pocono Kite Symphony and a DJ will keep you entertained. Mark your calendar now so as not to miss out on this experience.

A bounce house, face painter and a balloon sculptor will be on hand for more fun things to do. There will be plenty of hotdogs, BBQ pork, and whimpies for sale to sate your appetite.

The Chinese Auction will have many items to peruse and drop you tickets in the cans. There will be gift baskets, white elephant items, gift certificates and other treasures.
