St. Paul’s Church Lists Events

The Congregation of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Mountain Top encourages you to join them.

Worship is scheduled Sundays at 8:30 a. m. and 10:00 a. m.

Office Hours are 8:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. (Mon. to Fri.)

During the summer months, Pastor will be working with any young people who want to complete the requirement for their “God and Me” award in scouting. Contact Pastor if you have a scout who would like to complete this award. There are various year levels.

The “Sixth Concert For Rebecca Stop Domestic Violence Now” Saturday, August 22 at Kings Restaurant Route 309 in Mountain Top, downstairs. The time is from 7 p. m. until 11 p. m. There will be two bands, and speakers from Domestic Violence Service Center and Victims Resource Center. Free admission with many Basket Raffles.

Every third Wednesday, at 1 p. m. at the church will be Board Game Day. Please bring your favorite game and a snack to share. Come on out and have some fun. A sign-up sheet will be located on the table in the narthex. Next game day

Yarn Spinners will continue to meet on the first Wednesday of each month. The group will be working on lap robes during July and August for St. Luke’s Home in Hazleton. The August meeting will be on August 5th.

If you need any yarn please let Lois know. If you are able to crochet or knit or would like to learn we cordially invite you to join us for lessons that will be given by Lois. If you cannot make these meetings please call Lois at 570 474 5502 to volunteer your talents by making these items at home.

Please remember the first Sunday of each month has been declared Food Bank Day, we ask that all remember the less fortunate by bringing non perishable items in order to keep up with the demand for food. Sign up for delicious hoagies! Watch for the sign-up sheet on the narthex bulletin board. All orders must be in by the previous Sunday. In August, order by August 16th with a pick up date of August 20th. The cost of the hoagies are $4 each. The sign-up sheet is on the narthex bulletin board. All monies earned go to benefit the church. They’re available the 3rd Thursday of each month except December.

Bible Study meets every Monday at 2 p. m. that is open to all who would like to participate.

Sunday Morning gatherings are for adults each week right after 8:30 a. m. Service at 9:30 a. m. so members can get together and discuss any topic that they have interest in, and have some fellowship and discuss them.

The following weekly meetings are scheduled: Weight Watchers every Wednesday at 6:15 p. m., AA Meetings every Wednesday and Friday at 7 p. m. and Sundays at 7 p. m., NA Meetings every Thursday at 6 p. m., and Stress and Anxiety Management: Every 2n and last Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 p. m.

Please watch for announcements regarding summer activities for young adults and their families. The activities will allow for a wide range of age groups, enjoying several venues throughout the summer. St. Paul’s is now on facebook.
