DUI

Jeffrey Twilliger, 26, 11 Fieldstone Way, Mountain Top, has been charged with two counts of DUI, Reckless Driving, Disregard Traffic Lane, and Accident Damage to Unattended Vehicle or Property by Officer Emmalynn R. Hooten, White Haven Boro Police Department. Charges were filed on July 9, 2015.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, on July 5, 2015 at 3:55 p. m., Officer Hooten and Officer Stasik of White Haven Police Dept. were dispatched to an erratic driver on James Place. Once in the area, the officers received another dispatch to SR 437 in the area of Murphy Lumber for another driving erratically that matched the same description of the first dispatch. The officers started heading to SR 437 when Officer Stasik called the complaint back to see of a better location. The complainant stated to Officer Stasik that she was with the vehicle next to Murphy’s Lumber and the vehicle had come back to the scene where it originally hit a row of mailboxes.

Officer Hooten arrived on the scene with Officer Stasik. There was a white male in the driver’s seat of a blue color Honda, parked off the roadway near Murphy’s Lumber (north side of SR 437). There were witnesses on scene who saw the male hit the mailboxes and the come back and park. That’s when the female witness called 9-1-1.

Officer Stasik asked the male to get out of the car and both officers saw he started to reach inside the center of the car for something. That’s when she opened the door and grabbed the male preventing him from grabbing anything for officer safety. The male had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage resonating from his body and breathe as he spoke. He was unable to stand without leaning on the vehicle. Officer Stasik asked the male for identification. He was identified as Jeffrey M. Twilliger by his PA driver’s license.

Twilliger was transported to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital for the DL-26 in blood and BAC levels. Twilliger was read the DL-26 in front of staff and Officer Hooten by Officer Stasik where he submitted to a blood test for his BAC.

Twilliger called his parents who picked him up at the hospital and he was released.

Twilliger’s BAC was 0.300%.

A preliminary hearing has been set July 29, 2015 at 10 a. m. before Magisterial District Judge Ronald Swank.

DUI

Erin Nicole Troell, 32, 66 Woodlawn Avenue, Mountain Top, was charged with two counts of DUI, Careless Driving and Disregard Traffic Lane by Ptlm. Aaron Fromm, Wright Township Police Department. Charges were filed July 7, 2015.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, on Sunday, June 13, 2015 at approximately 5:47

p. m., Ptlm. Fromm responded to a one-car motor vehicle accident in front of 504 S. Main Rd, The officer identified the driver as Erin.

N. Troell, 66 Woodlawn Ave., Mountain Top. While speaking with the driver, the officer detected a smell of alcoholic beverage on her breath. The Defendant was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital due to injuries sustained in the accident.

The officer spoke to the Defendant when she arrived at the hospital and read her the O’Connell Warnings. The Defendant agreed to submit to the blood test. The blood alcohol test resulted in a level 0.217;
