Alexandria Briggs and Leigh Anne Machowski both love children. One, a teacher and the other studying to be one, they both were thrilled to be hired to direct the Fairview Memorial Park summer program.
“I like working with kids and being outside so this is a perfect job,” Alexandria related last week, a few days after the park program began. “Me too, the same for me,” echoed Leigh Anne, smiling.
The summer program runs each weekday, from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m., from now until Aug. 14. Alexandria, the camp’s director, and Leigh Anne, the assistant director, have created and organized a different theme for each week of the program.
