Instructed Eucharist To Be Celebrated At St. Martin’s On June 14

An Instructed Eucharist will be celebrated at St. Martin-in-the Fields Episcopal Church on Flag Day, Sunday June 14, 2015.

An Instructed Eucharist is specifically designed to explain and illustrate the ritual and actions used within the Church’s liturgy by the Priest in order to give its members a clearer understanding of what is actually taking place during the service. Please invite and bring a special friend to share in this unique experience. Service time is set for 10 a. m. Immediately following the service, the parish covered dish picnic will be held in the pavilion on the church grounds. Just bring a dish to share and spend a pleasant afternoon with some new and old friends.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church food bank provides food boxes for over 60 families each month. In June we will be collecting canned foods for their food bank. This winter we collected cereal, dried milk, pasta and pasta sauces. You can bring you contribution to this worthy cause by bringing it to the Church on Sundays.

June is going to be a busy month at St. Martin’s. If you have some free time we will be having an outside cleanup day on Saturday June 6th. Paintbrushes, rakes and shovels are the tools for the day. Come help us spruce up the grounds for the summer.
