St. Paul’s is happy to announce that they will once again offer a summer camp program for children ages 3 -5 as well as a new school age program for children who completed kindergarten through 2nd grade. We will offer two, 8 day sessions (for the 3-5 year old) which will run Monday through Thursday from 9 am –12 pm at a cost of $96 per session. Session 1 runs: July 6-16 and session 2 runs: July 20 -30. For children who have completed kindergarten, 1st or 2nd grade the session runs July 20 –30 (9am to 12 pm). The following is a brief summary of upcoming worship and service opportunities.
Communion will be offered May 31st .
A Healing Service is scheduled June 3 at 11 a. m. with a Potluck Luncheon following at noon.
Summer Schedule: Last Day Sunday School is Sunday, May 24, 2015. Worship, starting June 7, will be held at 8:30 a. m. and 10:00 a. m. Office Hours Starting June 1 will be 8:00 a. m. to 12:00 p. m. Monday through Friday.
St. Paul’s is sponsoring a Chicken Barbeque on Saturday, June13th. People are needed to work in the kitchen and as well as people to donate food such as coleslaw and corn muffins and dessert. BBQ sauce and industrial size cans of corn are also needed. A sign-up sheet is located on table next to Pastor’s office. Many hands make light work. Tickets are $9.00 adults; $4.50 children. --12:00 –6:00 pm. Gaylene Hunter will be selling the tickets after/between church services. Also, you can call the office to reserve your tickets at (570) 474-6616.
Every third Wednesday, at 1 p. m. at the church will be Board Game Day. Please bring your favorite game and a snack to share. Come on out and have some fun. A sign-up sheet will be located on the table in the narthex. Next game day
The Yarn Spinners will continue to meet on the first Wednesday of each month to work on Baptismal blankets for Pastor Michelle, and items for Wilkes Barre General. If you need any yearn please let Lois know. If you are able to crochet or knit or would like to learn we cordially invite you to join us for lessons that will be given by Lois. If you cannot make these meetings please call Lois Burge at 570 474 5502 to volunteer your talents by making these items at home. All items are appreciated.
Please remember the first Sunday of each month has been declared Food Bank Day, we ask that all remember the less fortunate by bringing non perishable items in order to keep up with the demand for food. Other items currently needed are: Coffee, peanut butter, jelly ,
