St. Mary’s To Host Blood Drive June 7

St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Reverend Joseph Evanko, and Reverend Gerald Shantillo, Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.

Religious Education registrations forms are in the vestibule of the Church. Cost is $20 per students. Books have already been ordered for next year. Any eighth grade student who missed the religious education meeting is asked to call Pam Urbanski to get important information 474-6315 ext 228.

Trip to Knoebel’s Amusement Park with St. Jude for students who will be entering 9th thru 12th grade this Fall will take place June 19, 2015. The group will leave St. Jude School promptly 4 p. m. Please arrive between 3:30 p. m. and 3:45 p. m. The group will return approximately at 11 p. m. The cost is $33 for the Sundown Plan that includes all roller coasters. Please bring extra money for food. We will not be swimming.

The Outreach Committee is collection gently used small medical equipment to be loaned out to people in need. Please call Michele Clark if you have walkers, tub chairs, canes, bedside toilets or other items you would like to donate, or if you would like to borrow any items.

American Red Cross Blood Drive will be held on Sunday, June 7 from 8:30 a. m. to 1:30 p. m. in the social hall. Appointment sheets are in the back of the church. For more information please call 1-800-RED CROSS.

Bazaar 2015 will be held Saturday, June 27 from 4-11 p. m., and Sunday, June 28 from 4-10 p. m. The next meeting is Thursday, June 11 at 7p.m. in the dining room. Babysitting is available! Booth chairs needed for a few stands (Big 6, Animal Ring Toss, and Candy Toss) For more call John at 570-379-3721.

Items needed include: Theme Baskets and Wine & Spirits during office hours. Baskets may be donated by families and/or businesses.

Rummage Sale items can be dropped off beginning Monday, June 8 during office hours. Please no clothing, shoes, or stuffed animals. Softly used household items, books, toys, holiday items, gym equipment, etc. will be accepted.

Raffle Tickets Get your tickets in by Wed, June 10 to be included in the Early Bird Raffle.

Pierogi Making: Help is needed for this huge project on Sat/Sun -June 13 and 14 at 9 a. m. and Mon-Thu, June 15-18 immediately following Mass. Help is needed.

Cooking donations: Donations for items needed to prepare food for the bazaar stand are being accepted. Items can be dropped off beginning June 9 and are needed by June 17.

The Youth Group will be serving dinner at the Soup Kitchen this summer. If you would like participate call the parish office or sign up the meeting on June 7.

The next Youth Group meeting is Sunday, June 7 from 6-8 p. m. We will be setting up the hall for the bazaar and weeding the Prayer Garden. All students in 7th grade and older are invited to part of this great group. Habitat Papers must be turned in by this meeting!

Light the Fire will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at Misericordia University. The event is for students in 9-12 grade. The cost is $30. Registration is due June 21, 2015.
