St. Jude’s Needs Volunteers For Vacation Bible School

The Vacation Bible School team is still in need of approximately twenty adult volunteers to help VBS run smoothly. In order to avoid turning children away, more adult volunteers are needed. Parishioners are asked to please consider sharing their time and talent. Applications are available on the parish website.

VBS is also in need of working white Christmas lights and old clocks which need not be in working condition. Items may be dropped off at the Parish Center during office hours.

Registrations are still being accepted for Vacation Bible School. Children three years old to students entering fifth grade are invited to register via the parish website. Forms are also available in the Parish Center. Bible school will run from June 22 through 26 from 9 a. m. until noon. The cost is $35 per child. This year’s theme is “Bible Blast to the Past”. The registration deadline is June 5 -NO exceptions.

St. Jude’s 4th Annual International Fest will be held Saturday, May 30 from 4 p. m. until 11 p. m. and Sunday, May 31 from noon until 9 p. m. Three raffle prizes are being offered: a dream vacation or $5,000 cash, custom LASIK procedure with Intralase, and one week beach house vacation (sleeps 12) in Emerald Isle, North Carolina. Parishioners are invited to mark their calendar for this exciting event.

The Theme Basket booth at the International Fest is seeking donations of new or gently used baskets. Please contact Mandy Baab Jankowski at 570-592-7424.

Any Knight who would like to help man the ticket booth during the International Fest is asked to call Grand Knight Brian Crane at 570-332-2405.

First Communion DVD’s are ready for pick up at the Parish Center during office hours.

The following items are needed for the Mt. Top Food Bank: jelly, mayonnaise, peanut butter, canned fruit, coffee, noodles, jello, tuna, sugar, pudding, cream soups, baked beans, and boxed soup mix instead of Ramon noodles.. Please drop off the items in the annex part of our church. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

Religious Education registration is being conducted. Students in a sacrament year (2nd and 8th) will have a flat fee upfront of $75.00. Instead of paying a registration fee and a sacramental fee later in the year, you will only have a onetime fee. Any students in a non-sacramental year will pay a $40 flat fee to equal no greater than $100.00 total for your family. If you register by June 15th, you will save $5 per child. Registering after July 15th will result in a late fee of $10 per child. Registration is quick and easy on our website at click on the Education tab and follow the link to Religious Education. You are able to make your payment directly online, as well. Weekday Masses at St. Jude’s are Monday through Friday at 7 a. m. and Wednesday at 12:10 p. m. Weekday Masses at St. Mary’s are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 8 a. m. Saturday Vigil Masses are 4 p. m. at St. Jude’s and 5:30 p. m. at St. Mary’s. Sunday Masses are 7:30 a. m., 9 a. m., 10:30 a. m. and noon at St. Jude’s and 9 a. m. at St. Mary’s.
