St. Jude’s Honors Student/Athletes At Annual Sports Assoc. Banquet
ST. JUDE SCHOOL SPORTS BANQUET-St. Jude School Sports Association recently honored athletes who participated in the interscholastic programs. St. Jude School in Mountaintop recently held its Sports Association Banquet at Blue Ridge Trail Golf Club to honor the athletes who participated in the interscholastic programs offered by the school.

Association President Carol Wills welcomed the guests followed by the invocation delivered by Rev. Jerry Shantillo, Assistant Pastor of St. Jude Parish.

The evening’s program included acknowledgement of the members of the girls junior varsity, boys junior varsity, girls varsity, and boys varsity basketball teams.

Special recognition was given to Grace Dacey for receiving the Kathryn Konopelski Memorial Award, presented to the Most Valuable Eighth Grade Lady Nomad Basketball Player; to Nicholas Ganter and Sean Murphy for receiving the Peter Fiascki Memorial Award, presented to the Most Valuable Players on the Boys Basketball Team; and to Dominic Capaci for receiving the George Overa Memorial Award, presented to the boys basketball player who exhibited the most hustle in practices and games.

Boys varsity basketball coach Lester Kempinski was presented with a token of appreciation for his decades of coaching basketball. The program concluded with a

slide presentation of highlights from the season.
