A new police cruiser is now in use by Wright Township Police, Supervisor Candace Smith reported. The 2015 Ford Expedition cost a little over $37,000, Smith added that it is much nicer than the older vehicles the policeman had driven. The supervisors voted to sell two police cars, a 2003 Ford Crown Victoria, for $280, and a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer, for $310.
The Wright Township Police responded to 358 incidents in April, Smith reported, including several thefts and two fraud charges.
