Theft

David Semon Garren Jr., 83 Bradford St., Wilkes-Barre, has been charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking by Wright Township Police Chief Royce Engler. Charges were filed on April 28.

According to the Affidavit of Probable Cause, on April 4, 2015, David Semon Garren Jr., 83 Bradford St., Wilkes-Barre, rented a Bostitch Model EHF 1838K “4” Floor Stapler valued at $199 from A&R Building Supply Co., 201 Church Road, Mountaintop. On this date he paid $42.40 rental fee with a Mastercard. He was only going to rent the stapler for one day. The Defendant also signed his signature stating he read and understood the terms of the Rebtal Agreement.

As of April 24, 2015, the Defendant has not returned the flooring stapler to A&R Building Supply. A&R Building Supply attempted to contact the Defendant by phone several times and received no response back. Chief Engler also left a message on the Defendant’s cell phone on April 17, 2015 and received no responses.

A preliminary hearing has been set June 3, 2015 before Magisterial District Judge Ronald W. Swank.

Bad Check

A Private Criminal Complaint was filed against Diana L. Kryznewski, 3 W. Grand St., Nanticoke for a Bad Check. The complaint was filed on May 7, 2015 by Judy Sawka.

According to the complaint, Diana Kryznewski made out a check in the amount of $35 dated March 24, 2015 payable to Wychock’s, The date of 10 day notice of refusal was April 20, 2015. The service charge was $50. The check was returned by bank marked Vantage Trust.

A summary trial has been scheduled June 10 at 9:30 a. m. before Magisterial District Judge Ronald W.

Swank.
