St. Mary’sYouth Group To MeetApril 26

St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Reverend Joseph Evanko, and Reverend Gerald Shantillo, Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.

First Holy Communion Parents have a meeting next Sunday, April 26 at 10 a. m. in the dining room.

Registration 2015-2016: Religious education registration forms went home in family envelopes April 12. Please return your completed forms as soon as possible. Forms for new students are in the vestibule of the church. Cost: $20 per student.

The Knights of Columbus will meet Wednesday, May 6 at 7:30 p. m. in the social hall. For information on becoming a Knight call Tony at 868-8401 or John at 379-3721.

The next meeting of Saint Theresa’s Guild will meet Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p. m. in the social hall. Ladies will be setting up for the First Holy Communion Breakfast. Help is needed to serve on Sunday, May 17. To become a member or for more information, call Terry at 570-868-3461.

The Youth Group will meet Sunday, April 26 from 6-8 p. m. in the social hall. Help is needed to set up for the Bingo.

Habitat for Humanity Trip-

Our students will again have the opportunity to travel to Franklin, WV to volunteer for HFH. Information & applications will be available at the Apr 26 youth group meeting or from the office. There are a few spots remaining. Adults/ Parents welcome! Depart: Sun, July 19 Return: Saturday, July 25.

Bazaar 2015 will be held Saturday, June 27 from 4-11 p. m. and Sunday, June 28 4-10 p. m. The next meeting is Thursday, April 30 at 7p.m. in the dining room. Babysitting is available! Booth chairs needed for a few stands (Ice Cream, Big 6, Animal Ring Toss, and Candy Toss). For more information call John 570-379-3721.

Items Needed: we will begin accepting Theme Baskets and wine & spirits beginning Sunday, April 12 during office hours. Baskets may be donated by families and/or businesses.

Rummage Sale items can be dropped off beginning Monday, June 8 during office hours. Please no clothing, shoes, or stuffed animals. Softly used household items, books, toys, etc. will be accepted. If in doubt…… throw it out.

All ladies are invited to join The Ladies of Charity as they serve those in need of material and spiritual assistance. Just one hour a month can make a big difference in the lives of so many and you will find great satisfaction in doing God’s Will. Our Ladies serve in their Parishes and their Communities and they choose their own works of charity. Please join with us and enjoy the fellowship and many spiritual blessings throughout the year. Saint Mary’s Youth Group will hold a Vera Bradley/Polish Pottery Bingo in the social hall on Sunday, May3. Doors open at noon, games start at 1 p. m. This is an all paper Bingo, $20 -20 games. There will be three “special games” with Coach Handbags as prizes. The kitchen will be open. Proceeds will be used for the mission trip to WV to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity. There will be a second collection the weekend of April 25/26 to help with our “Truckload of Groceries Raffle.”
