The Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program (PAMSP) is offering free motorcycle safety classes for Pennsylvania residents in the area. Class schedules are available online at www.pamsp.com. Students who successfully complete the knowledge and the skills test through the PAMSP will receive a motorcycle license from PennDOT.
A motorcycle permit is needed in order to register for a class. Participants will need to go to a PennDOT Driver License Center and obtain a motorcycle learner’s permit before registering for a class.
The Basic Rider Course (BRC) is for novice riders who want to learn to operate a motorcycle safely. Motorcycles and helmets are provided. The BRC2 is for experienced riders who want to improve their skills and increase safety. Students use their own motorcycles. Successful students can obtain their motorcycle license through either program. Information is available at www.pamsp.com.
