ST. JUDE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN STRING AND CHORUS FESTS

ST. JUDE STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN STRING AND CHORUS FESTS-Several students from St. Jude School were selected to participate in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association’s District 9 one-day Music Fests. The String Fest was held at Wilkes University with Dr. Nathaniel Parker, Director of Orchestra at Marywood University, as Conductor and hosted by Ann Manganiello, music teacher at Holy Redeemer High School and St. Jude School. The Chorus Fest was held at Mid Valley School District with hosts Leslie Moran and Linda Orseck. The elementary chorus, grades 4-6 was conducted by Craig Knapp, Director of the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and New York’s Children’s Treble Choirs. The middle school chorus, grades 7-9 was conducted by Keith LaBar, Director of Choirs at East Stroudsburg High School. Following the day’s rehearsals, the Fests concluded with a public concert in the evening.
