Vacation Bible School was really fantastic this year! The kids of Faith and Stairville UMC and Emmanuel UCC and our neighborhood kids all enjoyed a great time at SonRise National Park. We knew this VBS was a hit when the only “quiet time” was during snacks when everyone was eating! Otherwise the energy coming from the campers (students), trail guides (teens) and rangers (adult leaders) was energizing.
Those who made this year’s program possible are greatly appreciated –more than you can know! Trail Guides included Brooke Rinehimer, Morgan Rinehimer, Jacob Betz, Dylan Brown, Nate Kamowski and Rachael Brown. Our Rangers were: Sally Lazarowitz, Christine Kellow and Theresa Kellow –Busy Beaver Crafts; Janet VanGorden –Climb Higher Lodge (Bible Stories); Judy Brown and Sandy Kleger –Wild Wilderness Games; Cindy Heller, Kelly Devlin, Lisa Rinehimer and a host of helpers –Blueberry Patch Snacks; and Ginny Hildebrand and Donna Walck –Little Bears (Pre-K class).
Denise Dean led the Gather Grove opening and closing sessions. Denise would like to thank everyone who brought their children to VBS.
At Worship Service on July 27, greeters will be Dave and Rosemary Myers and the liturgist is Denise Dean.
Upcoming Events include:
July 27 –St. Mark’s Lutheran hosts Old River Church at 6 pm
