ST. JUDE NJHS SPONSORS SPRING EGG HUNT

ST. JUDE NJHS SPONSORS SPRING EGG HUNT-Throughout the school year, the St. Jude Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society has accepted the challenge of encouraging academic achievement and developing the characteristics of scholarship, service, citizenship, character, and leadership. One of their last service projects of the year was to sponsor a Spring Egg Hunt for the students in the PreKindergarten and Kindergarten classes at the school. Members filled hundreds of plastic eggs with treats and hid them in the parish grove adjacent to the school. Then one beautiful spring day, the youngest members of the school community were led out to the grove with NJHS buddies to search for hidden eggs. Each student claimed a specific number of eggs with certain ones marked for special prizes. After returning to their classrooms, the older students assisted the younger ones in revealing the goodies in the eggs they had found.
