Christ UMC Taking Registration For Fall Confirmation Class

Rev. JP Bohanan, Christ United Methodist Church, 175 South Main Road, Mountaintop, invites you to join us for Worship on the Lord’s Day: 8:30 and 10:45 am.

Nursery is available for infants and toddlers from 10:30 during the second service, however all children are welcome to stay during worship. Holy Communion is offered on the first Sunday of the month and is open to all. The First Sunday of the month has also been designated Food Bank Day. Please bring non-perishable food items to be donated to the Mountain Top Food Bank.

Sunday School and Confirmation Class take place, at 9:30 am, during the school year, right after the first service. We have classes for ALL ages, including adults. We will tackle some exciting & thought-provoking topics in fun and interesting ways. Bring your questions, thoughts and ideas so that we can learn together and enjoy some fellowship with each other. We will be taking registrations for Fall Confirmation Class, for students who are 12-13 years of age who will be entering 7th grade. You may call the church office for more information.

Holy Communion will be served on August 3rd. All are Welcome, Please Join Us.

During the summer months, through Labor Day, we will once again be holding our “Food and Fellowship” on the lawn. This is a wonderful opportunity to share some light fare and enjoy fellowship between services. This is a fun time each year and we hope you can celebrate with us.

The Youth Group will be participating in a Mission trip July 6 through July 12, in Gibsonia, PA, with the United Methodist Army Northeast. Teams complete a variety of projects including yard work, painting, window and door repair, handrails, stairs and construction of handicap access ramps.

The camp is a great place to meet new friends. Each evening fun activities are planned and wonderful memories are made. Worship at U. M. ARMY is planned with youth in mind. It is contemporary, uplifting and meaningful. Many participants find their relationship with their client to be the most rewarding part of U. M. ARMY. Work teams bring a lunch to share with their client each day and on “Client Night” those served are invited to the host church for a special dinner.

Last week’s Vacation Bible School theme was “Weird Animals” and it was a huge success! There was a great turn-out, and collected numerous donations for the Blue Chip Farms no-kill Animal Shelter. The kids learned that “Jesus’ Love is One-of-a-Kind”, and helped out the animals in our community.
