Four new teachers were hired by the Crestwood School Board at a special meeting Wednesday June 25, 2014. Eight members were present. William Thomas was absent. The vote was split 5-3 on three appointments.
Tracey Menn Sedorovich, was unanimously hired by all present at a MS Step 1, $44,219 with a tentative assignment with the High School, Special Education. Sedorovich is a Mountaintop resident and has been a substitute teacher at Crestwood.
Five board members present, Norb Dotzel, Ken Malkemes, Gene Mancini, Jerry Orloski and Randy Swank voted to hire Melissa Albers, MS Step 1, $44, 219 with a tentative assignment at Fairview Elementary in the Response to Instruction and Intervention program. Minority members voting No were Eric Aigeldinger, Mike Marshall and Maureen McGovern.
The majority also hired Jennifer Krapf, BS Step 1, $37,532, tentative assignment Fairview Elementary School, Special Education.
Sara Randle, a Crestwood School District graduate and daughter of Sharon Randle, retiring secretary to the Superintendent Dave McLaughlin-Smith, was hired at MS Step 1, $44,219 with a tentative assignment at Crestwood High School in the Science department.
Mariana Herrera was hired as Boys Soccer, Assistant Varsity Head JV Coach for $3022. The vote was unanimous for Herrera.
The next scheduled work session and board meeting is August 21, 2014, 6:30 p. m. at the high school library.
