St. Paul’s Lists Schedule For ‘Book Of Faith’ Series

The congregation of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Mountain Top encourages you to join them for worship this week.

Sunday Church School begins at 9:30 a. m.

Pastor Michele D. Kaufman leads Sunday worship services at St. Paul’s at 8:30 am, and 10:00 am. The Church office (570-474-6616) is open Monday to Friday, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Pastor Kaufman is in the office Mondays from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m.

Organist/Director is Christine Katsock

There is no nursery in the summer months.

A healing service is scheduled Wednesday, July 2 at 11 a. m. and Wednesday, August 6 at 11 a. m. A Potluck Luncheon follows at noon.

The WELCA’s next meeting will be on Wednesday, July 9th at 1 p. m. at the church. Our hostesses will be Joanne Smith. Please come with ideas to discuss. If anybody has ideas, please let a WELCA member know. The following meeting will be on August 13th at noon. We will carpool from there to a restaurant. The “Book of Faith” Bible Study series will be at 7:00 p. m. on Monday, July 7th, Monday, July 21st, Monday, August 4th and Tuesday, August 19th.

Hoagies! Sign up for delicious hoagies! Watch for the sign-up sheet on the narthex bulletin board. All orders must be in by the previous Sunday, which in this case will be, Sunday, July 13th with a pick up date of July 17th; and in August order by August 17th with a pick up date of August 21st. The cost of the hoagies is $4 each. The sign-up sheet is on the narthex bulletin board. All monies earned go to benefit the church. They’re available the 3rd Thursday of each month except December.

The “Yarn Spinners,” will continue to meet on the first Wednesday of each month. There will be NO meeting in July. The next meeting is August 6th in the church at 12:30 p. m. Continue to work on baby blankets and hats for Wilkes-Barre General Hospital which will be due at the August meeting. They are 21-inch squares.

If any of you are talented in crocheting or knitting, or would like to learn, they cordially invite you to join them. Lessons will be given by Lois. If you can’t make their meetings, please call Lois Burge at 474-5502, and volunteer your talents by making the items at your own pace at home. All would be most appreciative.

Weight Watchers meet every Wednesday at 6:15 p. m.

AA Meetings are held every Wednesday and Fridays at 7 p. m., and Sundays at 7 p. m.

NA Meetings are scheduled every Thursday at 6 p. m.

Stress & Anxiety Management support group meets every 2nd and last Tuesdays of the month at 6:30p.m.

Has your address, phone number and/or email address changed? A new church phone directory will be printed very soon. While you’re thinking of it, please notify the church office (570-474-6616) or stpaulsmttop.comif any changes have been made to your household.

Every third Wednesday, at 1:00 p. m. at the church will be board game day. Please bring your favorite game and a snack to share. Come on out and have some fun. A sign up sheet will be located on the table in the narthex. Next game day is scheduled July 16th and August 20th.

Please remember that the first Sunday of each month has been declared “Food Bank Day” and we ask that members remember those less fortunate by bringing nonperishable food items. in order to keep up with the demand for food. Other items they currently need are: Coffee, Peanut Butter, jelly, dry soup, pudding and Jell-O mixes, and popcorn, pork & beans, canned tomatoes, canned soup, canned fruit, mayonnaise, tuna, macaroni & cheese and pasta (ex. Spaghetti noodles, etc.) peas, carrots, canned pasta.
