Mary Curtin Cosgrove

Loving Mother, Grandmother

Mrs. Mary Curtin Cosgrove, Mountain Top, died June 13, 2014, at Celtic Hospice Care Inpatient Unit at Geisinger Medical Center South, Wilkes-Barre.

Born Aug. 2, 1943, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Annabelle Hoyt Curtin.

Mary was a 1961 graduate of St. Mary’s High School, Wilkes-Barre, and was employed as an administrative assistant at the Luzerne County Domestic Violence Service Center. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish, Wilkes-Barre. Mary was a loving and caring mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick, on Aug. 17, 1993; daughter, Eileen Templeton, in 2013; brother, Edward “Sonny” Curtin; and sisters, Margaret Martin, Patricia Marconi, Sheila Curtin and Kathleen Hauberger.

Surviving is her companion, Paul Morganti, Plymouth Township; daughters, Mary Pat Gill, Mountain Top, and Greg Quinn, and Kathleen Fishe, Luzerne; sons, Michael, Vail, Arizona, Patrick, Mountain Top, and Megan Dougherty, and Matthew and his wife, Audrey, Leonardtown, Maryland; son-in-law, Leo Templeton, Trucksville; grandchildren, Mollie and Patrick Gill, Kyle and Kayleigh Fishe, Cory Templeton and Abigail, Matthew and Grace Cosgrove; great-granddaughter, Fara Lamb; and sister, Nancy Laboda and her husband, John, Port Richey, Florida.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a. m. Wednesday, June 18, from the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, 21 N. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a. m. in Our Lady of Fatima Parish at St. Mary’s Church of the Immaculate Conception, South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and friends may call from 5 to 9 p. m. Tuesday.

Ethel H. Rinehimer

Mother, Homemaker

Ethel H. Rinehimer, 91, Mountain Top, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at Celtic Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Dorrance Township on Nov. 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mable E. Stein Hoffman. While growing up in Dorrance, she attended the local schoolhouse there.

She was married on Sept. 26, 1942, to Clifford J. Rinehimer and began the most rewarding job of all as a mother and homemaker.

Ethel was a very active member of St. James Lutheran Church. She found joy in helping at church functions, crocheting, cooking, baking, feeding her son’s chickens and gathering their eggs.

She will be greatly missed by her loving children, Larry Rinehimer Sr. and wife, Cathy (Becky), Wapwallopen; Denny Rinehimer, Mountain Top; and Darla Frace and husband, Dennis, Wapwallopen; cherished grandchildren, Tammy, Larry Lee, Kevin, Shaun, Melinda, David, Amber, Ryan and Christine; and 13 great-grandchildren, Timmy, Peighton, Leo, Sophia, Alana, Lily Grace, Caroline, Anthony, Felicity, Jerhyn, Nathan, Alyssa and Kaylee. She is also survived by sisters, Ellen Hoch, Pond Hill; and Esther Seltzer, Dorrance; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, in 1988; son, Jamie Rinehimer; and brothers, Clark, Leroy, Burton, Carl and Floyd Hoffman.

Private funeral services will be held at Heller Funeral Home, Nescopeck. Interment will follow in Emanuel UCC Cemetery.

Donald B. Fetterman

Dorrance Native

Donald B. Fetterman, 57, Dorrance, died, June 11, 2014, at Celtic Hospice Inpatient Unit, Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Ashland, Feb. 23, 1957, he was a son of Betty (Huttenstine) Fetterman Montigney, Dorrance, and the late Conrad Fetterman, and spent his entire life in Dorrance.

Donald was employed by the Dorrance Township Road Department for 18 years. He had also previously worked for the Luzerne County Road Department and was a truck driver for several local companies. His hobbies included hunting and farming.

He was preceded in death, in addition to his father, by his stepfather, William Montigney.

Surviving in addition to his mother, are his wife, the former Margaret McCormick, to whom he would have been married 38 years on June 26, 2014; five children, Donnie and his wife, Aimee; Dave; Danny and his wife, Tara; Denis, and Donna Chalker and her husband, Frank,


all of Dorrance; six grandchildren, Donnie, Hannah, Gabby and Carter Fetterman, and Wyatt and Garrett Chalker; a brother, Richard, and his wife, Cynthia, Dorrance; a sister, Carol Taney, and her husband, Justin, Berwick; three nieces and two nephews.

All services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
