Chicken Barbeque, Flea Market Set June 21 At St. Paul’s Church

The congregation of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Mountain Top encourages you to join them .

Sunday Church School begins at 9:30 a. m.

Pastor Michele D. Kaufman leads Sunday worship services at St. Paul’s at 8:30 am, and 10:00 am. The Church office (570-474-6616) is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm. Pastor Kaufman is in the office Mondays 10 a. m. –2 p. m.

The Organist/Director is Christine Katsock.

St Paul’s is sponsoring its annual Chicken Barbeque on Saturday June 21, 2014. Tickets are $9.00 for adults, and $4.50 for children. The hours are 12 noon to 6 p. m. You can call the office to reserve your tickets at 570-474-6616.

The spring Flea Market will also be held on June 21, from 8 a. m. to 2 p. m. Please contact Marty Kellow at 570-474-5387 if you would like to set up at the event. Inside spaces are $15.00 for one (1) table and $20.00 for two tables. Outside spaces are $10 and vendors supply their own tables. Vendors may set up from 5 p. m. to 8 p. m. on Friday evening, June 20.

Vacation Bible School will take place June 23 to June 27, 2014 from 9:00 a. m. to 12 p. m. The cost per child is $35. If you have three (3) or more children it will be $30.00 per child. There are forms next to Pastors Office for registration and volunteering.

St. Paul’s Summer Camp-Children will learn about the solar system and the garden through art, music , stories and many other activities.

There will be two sessions. The first session will be July 14, 15, 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, and 24 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays). The second session will be held: July 28, 29, 30 31, and August 4, 5, 6,and 7 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). The time for both sessions will be 9 a. m. to 12 p. m.

The cost for the two-week session is $96.00 that includes the supply fee.

The camp is limited to the first 18 children to enroll. 10 children are needed to start the camp. The camp is for ages-3-5 years old (must be fully potty trained).

For the Solar System Camp, children need to have completed kindergarten, first or second grade to enroll.

Bible Study at Wright Manor at 2 p. m. every Tuesday and all is welcome to join Pastor Michelle Kaufman in a relaxed environment with good conversation.

The first Sunday of the month is declared Food Bank Day. Our members are asked to remember those less fortunate and bring nonperishable food items in order to help keep up with the demand on the bank.

The Food bank is open every Friday from 9:30 a. m. to 12 p. m.

Every third Wednesday at 1 p. m., Board Game Day will be held at the church. Please bring your favorite game and a snack to share. Come on out and have some fun. A sign up sheet will be located on the table in the narthex. Next game day scheduled June 18th.

Weight Watchers meet Every Wednesday at 6:15p.m.

AA Meetings are held every Wednesday and Fridays at 7 p. m., and Sundays at 7 p. m.

NA Meetings take place every Thursday at 6 p. m.

Stress & Anxiety Management support group meets every 2nd and last Tuesdays of the month at 6:30 p. m.

The 911 Museum in New York City has officially opened. We will be planning a trip to New York to view the 9-11 site and museum this coming fall. Watch for more details!
