St. Mary’s Church Bazaar 2014 In Need Of Donations, Volunteers

St. Mary’s of Dorrance is a welcoming church. The pastor of St. Mary’s is Reverend Joseph Evanko, and Reverend Gerald Shantillo, Assistant Pastor. The weekend Mass schedule is Saturday at 5:30 p. m. and Sunday at 9 a. m.

The next meeting of the Altar & Rosary Society is Monday, June 16 at 7 p. m. in the meeting room. The Altar & Rosary Society welcomes new officers: President: Maureen Baab, Vice-President: Julia Vencak, Secretary: Michele Clark, and Treasurer: Susan Miller

St. Mary’s Community Outreach Team will meet Wednesday, June 11 at 7 p. m. in the meeting room. Rosaries are made prior to the Wednesday meetings beginning at 6 p. m. The Crochet Group meets on Sundays at 6 p. m. Questions regarding the Team can be directed to Michele at 570-868-0168. Rummage Sale items for the Bazaar on Monday, June 16 beginning at 6 p. m. Jobs for all ages and abilities. Set up will continue until 9 p. m.

Bazaar Donations are being accepted in the hall for the following:

Truckload of Groceries: Non perishable foods, paper products and cleaning/home care items. Please no expired foods or dented cans or boxes.

The Rummage Sale: Softly used house hold items, games, toys, seasonal items. No shoes, clothing, stuffed animals, or toiletries/ medications.

Food Prep: Canned clams, clam juice, spaghetti sauce, crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, sugar, ketchup, mustard, dishwashing liquid, and sponges.

Items being accepted at the rectory;

Hand Craft Booth: Wood working items, dolls, crochet and knitted items, needle work, wreaths, candles, signs, etc.

Theme Basket Auction -Wine Wheel -Spirits

St. Mary’s parish community will recite the Rosary every month on the 13th day at 11 a. m. in the Prayer Garden. In case of inclement weather recitation will be in the Church. All are invited and encouraged to attend.

Mark your calendars for July 2! Light the Fire will be held at Misericordia University on July 2. Cost is $30 -our students pay $25 due to our fund-raising. Forms will be available soon. For more information come to a youth group meeting or call the parish office.
