Fathers To Be Honored At Emmanuel UCC

On Sunday, June 15, we will honor our Dads (natural and spiritual) and show them some much-deserved appreciation. There are many men who have shaped our lives and we want them to know that we realize the value of their influence on us. Whether they have always been part of our families or became part of our lives through the years, their skilled guidance and steadfast commitment to our growth have been instrumental to us becoming who we are today. We thank all the fathers, uncles, coaches, supervisors, and other men in leadership positions. And may God bless their continued work and encouragement as they represent God’s inspiration in our daily lives.

There have been some great planning meetings for our VBS coordinated by Faith and Stairville UMC and Emmanuel UCC. This year Emmanuel will host SonRise National Park.

From July 13 to 17, the Fellowship Hall and Sanctuary will be transformed into the great outdoors with this year’s theme. There will be great times with singing songs, creating crafts and playing games, but especially discovering that Jesus provides what we truly need in every challenge of life. Each day we’ll gather in the sanctuary for our opening. We then split up into “camper groups”, led by our park guides (older youth), to the stations for crafts, lessons, snacks and games. Each station is run by adult “park rangers”. We all end up back together again for our closing time in the sanctuary.

Registration Forms are on the table in the narthex. Please take some to fill out for your own children and also for some children of your friends and family. The “park” is open to all the kids in our communities. The last planning meeting will be on June 16 at 7 pm in the fellowship Hall. We are looking for people with great decorating ideas and who have enthusiasm to work with kids.
