ST. JUDE STUDENTS EARN BISHOP’S YOUTH AWARDS

ST. JUDE STUDENTS EARN BISHOP’S YOUTH AWARDS-At a special liturgy and awards ceremony at St. Peter’s Cathedral in Scranton, Bishop Joseph C. Bambera presented students from throughout the diocese with the Bishop’s Youth Award. This award was developed by the Office for Parish Life and the Office for Catholic Schools. It is the highest recognition offered to Catholic youth in the diocese. Seven eighth grade students from St. Jude School qualified to receive this award. The award recognizes youth of the diocese “for their exemplary practice of faith and their genuine commitment to service in parishes and schools.” During the homily, the students were encouraged to make a difference and to use their efforts to bring life to the Body of Christ.
