In other business, Snelson reported that April was a “fairly busy month,” with five permits issued across the township for various accessory structures and out-buildings. A total of $250 was collected for the month.

Roadmaster Todd Badman’s monthly summary covered the clearing of brush and cleaning ditches and pipes, pot hole patching, clearing antiskid from the edges of roads and the “hopefully” final maintenance to a plow.

Secretary Patricia Davis advised that the township has “applied to the Luzerne Conservation District for a Dirt and Gravel Roads grant in the amount of $48,673.60. The money would be used to install ditch drainage and apply material to build up Taney Road.”

The next meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 9, 2014.
