The St. Jude Parish International Fest will be held Saturday, May 31 from 4 p. m. until 11 p. m. and Sunday, June 1 from noon until 9 p. m.
A food drive is being instituted as part of this year’s festival. Everyone who attends is encouraged to bring a can of food to the event to benefit those in need in our area.
Everyone is also encouraged to purchase or sell raffle tickets for a Dream Vacation. Tickets are $5 each or six for $25. The raffle is an easy way for everyone to support the parish. Ticket stubs and corresponding funds may be returned by mail, dropped off at the Parish center, or placed in the collection basket. The winner will have a choice of one of the following: 7 day trip for 2 to Ireland, 8 day trip for 2 to Italy, 8 day cruise for 2 thru Venice and Greece, create your own Dream Vacation of a $5,000 value, or $5,000 cash. The winner will be drawn on June 1 at 9 p. m.
Anyone who owns or works for a business who would like to be involved in the festival is asked to call the Parish Center. Many volunteers are also needed in a variety of areas.
Theme Baskets are needed for this event. Please contact Mimi Murphy or call the Parish Center to discuss ideas or donations.
Classes will begin soon for the Diocesan religious award called “The Family of God”. This is for third grade boys and girls. If interested in signing up to work on this medal, or have questions, please call the Parish Center and leave your name and phone number.
The Pilgrim Virgin Statue will be at the home of Felicia Manciocchi and daughter Corine Vasilakos through May 2. For more information, call Gloria at 868-5346.
Online giving is now available for St. Jude Parish. This system provides parishioners with the opportunity to give to special collections in addition to regular offerings. You may choose to do a One Time Gift or a special remembrance, or you can set up regularly scheduled contributions that are withdrawn on the date you specify in the system. Even if you typically use your offering envelopes, you may wish to contribute online to a particular collection. It’s easy and it’s convenient. Go to our parish website at www.stjc.orgto sign up. Additional information is available by contacting Tracie Machalick at the Parish Center.
